Cheryl Cummings Mead — Class of 1980
Cheryl participated in numerous clubs and social activities while at SHS and worked countless hours to fund her years of competitive skating.
Coupled with a higher education, she has taken that determination and self motivational skill and turned them into a prosperous career: interest in an International Company (Mannings USA) and years with a Trade Association (Hydraulic Institute). She currently is the founder of her own Realty and Small Business Investment company (MeadHome Inv, LLC).
In her spare time, Cheryl enjoys genealogy research; having documented her maiden name several hundred years. She also has traveled, with her four children and husband (desc.), most of North America and visited a multitude of other countries all over the world.
Cheryl continues her passion for organizational and social involvement (Member of The Columbia Club, SEG, ISO40, and Broadway in Indy) as well as her many philanthropic endeavors (SHSAA, Johnson Co Youth Connections, National Arbor Day Foundation and Gleaners Food Bank). Cheryl also is continuing an old SHS tradition of giving back to her community by serving on the SHSAA Board of Directors and Chairing the Scholarship Fundraising efforts.
