Greg Cullison, a 1986 graduate of Southport High School, was a standout student-athlete, excelling in baseball, football, and music. He played third base on the 1985 county, sectional, and regional championship baseball team, setting a school home run record his senior year that stood for 23 years. He was also a tight end on the 1985 sectional champion football team and played drums in the jazz band. After high school, Greg played baseball at the University of Indianapolis before graduating from Ball State University, where he met his wife, Cathee, now a long-time math teacher at Southport. He later returned to Southport as a varsity assistant baseball coach under John Carpenter and served seven years as president of the SHSAABC, where he helped launch the reverse raffle.
Greg and Cathee have been married for 32 years and have two children: Brad, a 2015 graduate and Indiana South All-Star in football, and Lauren, a 2020 graduate and Junior Indiana All-Star in volleyball who still holds three school records. Greg currently works as the Fabrication Manager for Ermco Electric.
